Am I Blue?

Definitely not! If blue is your favorite color it means you enjoy a depth of feeling and have a tranquil temperament. It’s a quiet color, and is generally associated with peace, contentment and security. If you think for a minute about blue's influence in nature...blue sky and still, tranquil waters… you automatically have a feeling of peace.

A strong preference for blue says that you have a need for rest and relaxation. Returning to your home at the end of a busy day to a blue color scheme would give you that "relaxation feeling" you yearn for. Most men like blue, not surprisingly, because good judgement and executive ability are characteristic of those who are partial to blue.

As a cooler color, you might enjoy combining blues with crystal, silver, pewter, steel and tin. These metals tend to add to the coolness of blue. Care should be given to balance your use of blue with warmer sunny shades as well. Too much blue will tend to make your room feel too cold, and much too formal. As always in working with color, balance is your key to success!
